Julie brings eighteen years of climate, energy and environmental consulting experience, providing a wide range of services to public and private sector clients across Canada, the US and formerly in the UK. Early in her career she specialized in environmental impact assessments for natural gas pipelines as well as environmental auditing/management at pipeline construction sites in the UK. In 2003, Julie returned to Canada and joined ICF’s Canadian Climate Change group where she built her extensive experience interpreting climate-related policies, plans and regulations in the Canadian context.
Over the years, Julie has led numerous development and research teams that studied the impacts of emerging emissions regulations on regulated sectors to inform public and private sector clients of the potential ramifications of carbon policy. She also has extensive expertise in greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting in both the development and verification of GHG emissions inventories, as well as provision of consultative services related to market-based carbon reduction programs. In 2012, Julie led the establishment of an American National Standards Institute-accredited ISO 14065 Verification Management System and subsequently led the Verification Body for five years.
Julie has an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Guelph with an area of emphasis in Environmental Degradation.
