Learn how to get investment-useful information out of climate disclosures

Introduction to climate Disclosure for Investors (condensed 2.5-hour workshop)

In this condensed  2.5 hour training, we will review climate disclosure best practices from various sectors using examples in the context of the recommendations from the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). Discussion will focus on what makes a good disclosure and how the TCFD framework might useful in your own investment organization.

TCFD is changing climate reporting

In just over two short years from 2017, when the TCFD published their recommendations, to today, the thinking around climate disclosures has evolved at an unprecedented pace. Investors need decision-useful information about how physical and transitional climate issues could impact the value of their portfolio companies. Despite this, there remains confusion over what a ‘good’ or even ‘useful’ climate disclosure should look like.

Skills and knowledge you will gain

  • A better understanding of the challenges and benefits of using the TCFD framework to evaluate investments and your own organization
  • New insights on how to identify and report on climate risk.
  • Insight into what makes a strong climate report
